My name is Fereshteh Farmand. I’m a painter, illustrator who explores the quiet solitudes of the human experience.
For me, art has always been a way to breathe and figure out how to endure when life feels overwhelming. Over the years, my work has been centered on finding a glimmer of hope amidst our deepest existential crises and quietest moments.
Natural elements in my art serve as a symbolic language for this journey; they are both a reflection of the outside world and turbulent reality around us, and a mirror to our inner landscapes—sometimes carrying the weight of emotional burdens and at other times offering the promise of release, quietness and renewal. This constant presence of nature speaks to the human spirit: something profoundly fragile, yet deeply rooted with an enduring resilience to survive.
I don’t know where this path will take me next, but one thing is certain: as long as I can capture the quiet pulse of life on canvas and paper, I feel I’m right where I belong—creating, with a heart that still believes in resilience and light.
