Isle of the Squid
This artwork is a playful reinterpretation of the classic painting Isle of the Dead (1880) by Arnold Böcklin. While the original work evokes silence, mystery, and sacred stillness, this version transforms the atmosphere into a strange and whimsical journey within my own fictional world. One day, a group of octopus friends invited Sicin and Nyan to visit a small island considered sacred among the squid entities. The island holds the ancient origins and forgotten history of the squids that inhabit their world. As they arrive, curiosity fills the air, for within this quiet place lie stories of mysterious beings and secrets that have yet to be revealed. #AVSG Digital hand-drawn 2026 Adiw
